Dempsey Miller 06-01-08 - Dempsey - Almost twelve years ago, I was grieving the loss of "CJ", our first beloved Shar Pei. CJ's daughter, our surviving Shar Pei named "Pretty Girl" was also grieving our loss. My husband and step daughter decided that a wonderful birthday present may cheer me up. On the day of my birthday, after work, I rounded the corner into our den to see the most gorgeous Shar Pei puppy with a huge blue bow around his neck. I think "Dempsey" actually smiled at me when I saw him for that very first time. I collapsed to the floor, pulled him into my arms with tears of joy streaming down my face. The picture taken at that instant is one of my favorite life memories. Dempsey was the most spectacular birthday present I ever have been given. Dempsey filled all our lives with happiness and love, from day one. Two days after arriving in our home, my husband announced that although Dempsey was my "present", Dempsey was HIS dog. It was amazing how fast all of us fell in love with this wonderful animal. Dempsey was a teddy bear, a sweet and loving animal. He loved our daughter, but when our granddaughter came along..it was instant love between Dempsey and Audrey. He would not leave her side whenever they would visit. Dempsey went everywhere with us once we retired. He went with us sailing in the Bahamas, he traveled to Colorado in our RV and was a great traveler. He was loved by everyone who met him. He was a truly special creature. In May 2008, he started to lose weight. Sadly, the Vet said it was cancer, words we wanted not to believe. On June 1, 2008, he went off by himself, laid down in our garage and went to doggy heaven. We found him immediately and were so sad that he chose to die alone. We miss him every day. Our other dog, Mac, lays down on the same spot in the garage almost daily. We miss Dempsey so much, but find great comfort in knowing we gave him a wonderful loving home and a very happy life. We also are so thankful for the memories and love he showed us each and every day. Those feelings will never be forgotten and Dempsey will be cherished forever.

Kola Scott 06-01-08 -Kola, You were a very brilliant, fun-loving and compassionate dog. You are were not at all the pitt bull that the media and many others have tried to portray you to be. You have filled our lives with so much joy for 9-1/2 years. It's hard to imagine going home and not being greeted by you. We live in such a cruel world, as you unfortunately had to find out. It seems so unfair that you were taken away from us so viciously only because someone decided that they'd rather steal from others than to get a job. I know that you are somewhere pain free. I can see you now....just waiting to be rubbed. I miss rubbing you, playing with you and simply having you as my companion. You will be truly missed. We love you very much. You were two weeks old, pink feet and belly, no mother and destined to starve unless someone bottle fed you. Of course, we did, adopted you, and you shared every moment of our lives for sixteen years. The cutest puppy ever born grew into a beautiful, intelligent, loving creature. When I was hurt, disappointed, or despondent, you quietly listened and offered me peace. My Best Friend, always loving, never complaining, always waiting at the door for me, whether gone 30 minutes or 30 days, somehow you always knew when I was returning. The beach was your favorite place, and we set you free there, to meld with the sand, sea and wind, until a Loving and Merciful God reunites us. We Miss You Terribly.

Luke Graham 06-04-08 - Luke was a Husky mix that my husband and were given when we were dating. We have been married for nearly 11 years, so that really dates Luke. He lived to be almost 16 years old. Luke was a great guard dog who would make plenty of noise when a stranger was in the yard. He loved to eat table scraps, with spaghetti being his favorite. Luke will be missed by many.

Henry Pierce 06-04-08 - Henry gave our family 13 years of love and happiness. He was a gentle, kind and loyal dog. He love to have sleep overs at his sissy's house and car rides with his mom. His favorite foods included a cheeseburger from McDonald's. When he was happy he made a sound of which reminded us all of a walrus. We miss he slobber everywhere, his black hair that would turn your white shirt black and most of all his stinky breathe. Bailey Graham 06-06-08 - Graham's Bailey Belle was a registered Labrador Retriever that my husband and I bought one month after we were married. She lived in the house with us for six years and was such a joy. She truly was our first child! When our second child, a son, came along in 2004, Bailey learned to live outside. She was always such a good girl. Bailey tried hard to please everyone. Like most Labs, she had an immense appetite and love to chew rawhide bones. Bailey lived to be almost 11 years old. An acute illness took her from us much sooner than expected. I miss her everyday and know that I always will. She was truly a wonderful dog.

Katie Ellard 06-06-08 - You were our sweet baby girl for almost 18 years. Your love was special to us and everyone who came to visit. We miss our morning wake up call, your whiskers tickling our face or that sweet meow. When we came home you were always waiting for us. It was so very hard to let you go, but it was harder to watch you struggle to stay alive. We know in our hearts that you are playing in heaven at the Rainbow Bridge with all your cousins and being your sassy self, because you are now our "Little Angel Katie." We will never forget you or the special memories of our time together. Love, Dad + Mom. - My little fur ball, you were one of a kind and the best cat anybody could ask for! I have so many memories of you and will never forget any of them, i remember when you came home for the first time, me and marty would play with you all the time, one of the best was the laser, you always loved to chase that thing, even if it went up the wall you were trying to get it! You were a a blessing to all of us and i always thought of you after i went into the Air Force, even after i would come home from other places or deployments you remembered me! I remember how mom and dad spoiled you, only cat i knew of with its own groomer, smelled like riches perfume, or even your own bed and personalized meal plate, but you were down to earth and were always just so happy to get a new cardboard box from dad! and oh how you enjoyed playing with a string while you were in it, and that famous snorting, but you always purred like a kitten and loved to get some treats! only cat i know to eat deli meat! You were the cat of the house and the only cat, if marty brought other guests over we knew about it, and had to keep you in your own little place, and katie we all know you are in your own little place but will always be in our thoughts and prayers and know you are in a better place now, so katie think of me too as i continue to deploy and serve in the military and i will never forget how special you are, may you have full groom service, treats on the hour and fancy meals, but always a place in our hearts, to the best little kitty ever, your brother chris.
